Warnings to Unruly Tourists

The Old Hanton Place has since broken apart and sunk down into the swamp, but in it's memory, it still has it's own history of ghostly goings-on.

In the elder days, hard-working folk at the Old Hanton Place used to frighten premodonna tourists with stories concerning the old Hanton ghost.  Folk would say to the tourists that if they acted unruly, or had the intention of skipping out without paying their bill, then greedy old man Hanton would rise up out of his swampland grave and stand at their window just to say "boo!" and frighten them out of their socks.

But those are just stories of local folklore... or are they?
